My name is David Kekeletso Selepe. I am a qualified electrician/technician and specialised in high voltage through my career. An incident happened in 1996 whereby 11 000v went through my body when I was working nine meters above, I lost three fingers on my right hand and sustained severe hands injuries and a broken hip.
I started sharing my story in order to raise awareness about the importance of a safe workplace . I call what i do safety motivation . I encourage employers and employees to have safety engagements rather than safety meetings that are not necessarily effective in curbing incidents in the workplace.
